"I was in prison and you visited me" Mt25:39 Our focus is to help with spiritual, physical and economic growth of those incarcerated and recently released.
It all started with a little Nun...
I met Sister Emmanuelle in 2010 while living in Holland. Our compassion and strong desire to help others created an immediate bond. Prison ministry has always been an integral part of Sister's vocation. Upon visiting the U.S. years later, Sister encouraged me to become a part of this as well. What began as a friendship with Sister and guidance for one local inmate, has grown into a beautiful opportunity to help so many others. God has led us to reach out to so many and help them along their ministerial path as well.
Growing By Grace, A Christian Prison Ministry, supports the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of incarcerated individuals and those transitioning outside of the prison walls. We provide supplemental clothing/hygeine products, a venue to sell the prisoners' creations, and educational opportunities. Most importantly, Growing By Grace, provides prayerful encouragement through phone accounts, email accounts and personal visits. These opportunities provide a means to communicate with GBG staff and reconnect with their loved ones.
